Social Responsibility Activities – Summary 2025–2026
When Innovation Becomes Inclusion: Help to Train Programmers and Change Lives
During 2025, the Social Responsibility Committee in Mexico continued its collaboration with APAC, Yolia, and Progracademy. Several initiatives were carried out, including two major events held in November under the theme “La Feria del Viaje” (Travel Fair).
La Feria del Viaje – November 2025
The main objective of these events was to offer the girls from Yolia and the participants at APAC the experience of “travelling.”
The featured destinations included Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. The sessions incorporated videos, interactive activities, and small gifts. Both groups were enthusiastic, engaged, and grateful for the experience.
Ongoing Support
Lufthansa continues its monthly biscuit purchases, which directly support APAC as part of our ongoing commitment. This year, 200 kg of plastic bottle caps were collected for recycling and to help children with cancer. The winter drive took also place collecting 13 bags of warm clothes.
2026 Activities
At the beginning of 2026, the traditional “Día de Reyes” celebration with Yolia took place. Each child had an ambassador who “adopted” them for the event and gifted them presents, making the celebration very special for everyone involved.
