About Us

help alliance Americas

At the core of our mission is the belief that the most significant and impactful change comes from a collective group of individuals who are committed to doing good in their communities.

Our Mission

help alliance” was founded in 1999 by dedicated employees of the Lufthansa Group in Germany. Help alliance works together with local partners to create perspectives for children, teenagers and young adults worldwide. In order to enable them to lead self-determined and independent lives, its projects focus on education and vocational training as well as on promoting income-generating measures.

In 2016, the Americas area embarked on Project Panama in which representatives from the Americas Lufthansa Group Organization came together to build a home for a family. This was the kick-off to an overall regional commitment to work together to ensure Lufthansa’s social responsibility in North & South America.

For a more collaborative and unified approach, a project team was assembled in Sep. 2017 representing Americas LH Group companies with the objective of implementing a corporate citizenship approach. To ensure sustainability and an overall company representation of corporate responsibility we teamed up with our colleagues in Germany and created the first sub-organization, known as “help alliance Americas.”

To facilitate active participation by all, help alliance Americas is employee driven supporting employee nominated projects. The aim of the projects is to help people in our local communities and is not solely based on the collection of money, reinforcing our vision of “doing good” from the region to the region.
